You can search our Find an Ophthalmologist tool which lists all ASO member ophthalmologists in Australia.
If you call our office our administration staff can undertake a search of the ASO database for the doctor you are looking for. If he or she is not an ASO member we will recommend you contact the Royal Australian College of Ophthalmologists.
We suggest you talk to your ophthalmologist or their practice staff about all the elements of your fee at your initial appointment, but first read our patient information sheet ‘Understanding my ophthalmologist’s fee’.
If you are unhappy with your treatment you should first discuss your concerns with your doctor.
Following this you can register a complaint with the relevant health care complaints office in your state or territory.

While the Australian Society of Ophthalmology (ASO) is not a regulatory body we are committed to ensuring Australians have access to high quality ophthalmology services.
